Bulli Rats Eat Cats

SYDNEY, Tues: Cats at Bulli are not eating the local rats — they are being eaten by them. The rats (some of them big as rabbits) swarm around the old rubbish dump near the beach. Beach kiosk proprietor J Makin brought in cats to cope with the rats. Some of them disappeared. He discovered why when he found the partly-eaten body of one. The conquering rats have now eaten through the inch thick hardwood floor of his kiosk.
