SYDNEY, Tues: Cats at Bulli are not eating the local rats — they are being eaten by them.

The rats (some of them big as rabbits) swarm around the old rubbish dump near the
Beach kiosk proprietor J. Makin brought in cats to cope with the rats. Some of them
disappeared. He discovered why when he found the partly-eaten body of one.
The conquering rats have now eaten through the inch-thick hardwood floor of his kiosk.
