Thank you for taking time to consider supporting my not-for-profit websites.
As a journalist, writer and historian, my three sites feature a selection of northern Illawarra news, history and information, as well as Australian cultural history and news, with a focus on the Australian hotel and the liquor industry.
I’ve had a strong passion revealing and documenting the colourful stories of pubs, inns and associated industries in Australia for over 30 years, and freely share my work online.
Besides writing a number of history books, I have owned and managed several community newspapers. I was one time editor of the Wollongong Northern News, The Bulli Times, The Northern Times, The Northern Leader and The Local – all newspapers located in the Wollongong region.
As a journalist, I’ve been employed by Rural Press, Cumberland (News Limited), Sydney based, City News, and Torch Publications, in Canterbury Bankstown. I currently call the inner-Sydney suburb of Surry Hills home, and moderate the not-for-profit Looking Back, The Bulli & Clifton Times, and Time Gents websites and blogs.
Content on these websites are totally free. If you would you like to make a small donation towards the running of my sites you can support my work by visiting the donation page where you can leave a small tip of $2, or several small tips, just increase the amount as you like.
Your generous patronage of my work and research, however small it appears to you, will greatly help me with my continuing costs.
